I am an artist with a passion for creating unique and inspiring pieces.
As a self-taught watercolor artist, I draw much of my inspiration from the simple yet profound beauty of the outdoors. My wife and I take daily walks, savoring the quiet moments of discovery that nature offers—fallen tree bark, delicate leaves, feathers, and other treasures left behind by the seasons. These finds become part of my creative process, adding unique textures and character to my paintings. Every piece I create feels like a conversation with the natural world, a way of honoring its beauty and mystery.
For me, painting is more than a creative outlet—it’s a way of living with gratitude and curiosity. I love the spontaneity of watercolor, its ability to shift and surprise, much like the changing seasons. Through my art, I hope to share a sense of connection to the world around us, inviting others to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
Art is a shared journey in our home. My wife is a botanical printmaker, transforming foliage and flowers into wearable works of art on hand-dyed scarves. It’s a joy to exchange ideas and materials, often marveling at how the same piece of bark or leaf takes on new life in our respective crafts. Her process is one of patience and respect, much like mine—a delicate balance of letting the materials lead while coaxing out their potential. Together, we embrace the imperfections of natural textures and celebrate the surprises they bring to our work. Explore the precursor to my work; Nature's Printing Press, founded by my wife, Margaret.
